Will Botox make your
face look frozen?
Many
people who want to smooth out the lines creeping up around their eyes, mouth
and other areas of their face want to learn more about Botox. Botox has become
increasingly more popular since it has become a slightly more affordable
treatment and isn’t something only celebrities can have. However, when we look
at those celebrities that have gone under the knife to help try and keep their
youthful appearance we take a closer look and notice that some can not make a
genuine smile or raise an eyebrow because their faces are so swollen and stiff
from the Botox that has been injected over time. This therefore raises a
concern about Botox giving users a frozen face.
Is Botox to Blame?
Although
it is common knowledge that people who routinely get Botox often up having that
puffed-up balloon-like “frozen face” it has been said that this is not necessarily
caused by the Botox treatment itself. Some of the biggest causes include
receiving other plastic surgery procedures whilst having the Botox treatment,
being treated with injections that are inserted incorrectly or put in the wrong
spots, or simply just receiving too much Botox.
Many
articles online claim that Botox gets the blame for frozen faces by the media
because celebrities don’t tell us that they have in actual fact tried other
fixes that have involved more intense surgery in the past. When those frozen
signs appear it is Botox that gets the blame.
Other
people may experience tighter faces that they find difficult to move after
receiving Botox because the technician that inserted the needle might have
placed it in the wrong place, or simply too much was given. This is why it is
important not to have injections by a non-qualified professional – it isn’t
worth the risk!
If
you chose to have Botox it should be a procedure that not only makes you look
young again, but gives you the ability to smile, laugh, cry and express the
full range of emotions from all areas of your face. – Simple things that we
take for granted, but you would miss immensely should you not be able to do
this anymore!
Don’t
forget that Botox is not the only way to give you back your youthful skin.
There are other alternatives on the market that won’t leave you bankrupt
either. Make sure you do your research first; the last thing you want is to
damage your face and not be able to undo it. Remember there are non-plastic
surgery methods on the market some of which contain only organic ingredients that
are a much safer alternative to Botox.
